Perfect Replacement for Older Supermicro Boards
I was able to salvage a Supermicro board from a friend, but the original IO shield was left in the old case. This works perfectly with my board and in the new full tower case.

Quick and Cheap Gigabit NIC
1 of 1 found this helpful I purchased this NIC for a FreeNAS box. It looked as if it was new, and it was packaged well with plenty of anti-static bubble wrap. I installed into a PCIe x1 slot, and it worked immediately without any configuration. Transfer speeds do reach Gigabit with 100+ MB/s transfer speeds. It is faster than the former Broadcom NIC I had in use before this card.
