Vtech Wireless Home Phone Both (2651) & (2431)
I've owned two other Vtech phone models over the past 12 - 15 years plus. I had/have the 2431 single line and the vt20-2431 dual line telephone systems. Both use the same hand sets but the dual line obviously can use up to two different phone lines in one phone (ie... hm,office number using one phone) (requires you to have two different phone numbers AND two different phone lines/jacks terminating/plugged into the vt20-2431 AT THE SAME TIME). the vt20=2431 also has a handy lcd display on the base unit. Neither the 2431 nor this phone Vteck 2651 has the lcd display on the base unit but all three have displays on the hand units. This unit 2651 uses a different hand set the the both of the 2431 systems.
I think this is the real difference between the three units(other then their looks). I have literally walked around the corner (to my brother's house) while still on my home phone using the 2431 and I was able to maintain my conversation forgetting that I was on a hm phone and not on my cell phone. This means that you can feel free to walk around your house (no matter how big it is) &/or into you front or back yard while using your hm phone. This is important when you are waiting for a special phone call but you don't want to be locked into one room or limit your mobility around the house waiting on a call. Both the 2431 systems have an optional belt clip that can be attached to the hand set. The 2651 has a built in belt clip. All three has a 2.5 head set jack (that would be for a wired head set NOT A BLUE TOOTH DEVICE). "In My Opinion," wired head sets are clearer. They have less drop out and THEY NEVER NEED TO BE (RE)CHARGED. I TALK A LOT ON THE PHONE. I have a home based business and I need to be on the phone constantly. That's why the belt clip and the head set jack are a MUST. Clarity is not negotiable. If I sound bad, I may loose the contract. That's why the ability to walk and talk all over my house/office is important as I search for different records stored in various places around my house.
As you can tell by now, I really like these phones. I recently switched to a wireless internet router. I use a "2wire" (the name of the router) that allows me to gain access to the internet anywhere in my house. I use both desk top and laptop computers and I use both PC & Macs (although I use the Mac Primarily if for no other reason, They Don't Get Internet Viruses but that is for another review and another discussion).
I bought the 2651 Vtech system because the 2431 systems would have noise/interference/popping/static sounds while the internet router was on. I also noticed that when the microwave was on, the 2431 systems would have a poor connection until the microwave was no longer in use. The 2651 does not have these issues so I use it exclusively. I still have both the 2431 systems. Sooner or later, I am going to either put these systems into a different office or most likely I am going to give them to a family member. I really love these phones but I only need one system.
The only thing that I don't like about the 2651 is the brightness of (or the lack there of) the lcd hand display. The 2431 handsets back light is brighter then the 2651. You can read and see both during sunny day but the 2431 is just brighter and I was use to them.
Thanks for reading. I hope you find this useful whether you buy a Vtech or another brand.
Check 4 battery life,if Lcd screen has a back light, head set 2.5 jack (or blue tooth compatible),belt clip.

If you do not mind looking like an AT&T phone operator, then this is for you
If you do not mind looking like an AT&T phone operator, then this headset is for you. It has a 2.5 mini headset jack (NOT A 3.5 Jack that MOST newer smart phones have). It works perfect with most home and office land line phones that have the small hole either on the side or top of the phone (if your land line phone has the little hole, this will 98 out of 100% work for you). If you don't have a "4G" smart phone, it is a good probability that this will work for you.
I get stared at. I (and this headset) are the topic of many discussions (usually not favorably). I even get laughed at BUT I love this thing. Here are just a few reasons why:
1) It NEVER EVER needs to be charged so it can NEVER "die on you" 2) I am very Very VERY active and I need a headset that won't keep falling off of my head or I have to keep adjusting while cleaning, driving, walking, running, washing the car, doing bills, tinkering in the garage with "whatever", shopping in the grocery store bending over and picking up items etc.. 3) Because it is not rechargeable, I don't have to worry about the "radiation" or future effects that "may come out in future studies" relating to people who constantly wear their blu-tooth headset devices (if that is a concern to you) 4) compared to a "Good Blu-tooth" headset, this thing is cheap. You can buy 3-5 of these things to one good wireless headset. You won't feel bad if you break this thing and have to buy another. It is kind of hard to loose this big old thing so it is very easy to find in the car or laying around on the dresser or your desk. 5) You really don't have to worry about someone breaking into your car to steal this thing if you leave it out on the seat. They may even leave you a blu-tooth just because they feel sorry for you LOL.. 6) THIS should have been number "1". IT SOUNDS GREAT AND THE PERSON ON THE OTHER END OF THE PHONE CAN HEAR YOU WHILE YOU ARE WHISPERING. After all, isn't that what it is all about. It is very comfortable to wear for HOURS and you can either use your left or right ear. The mouth piece swivels so you can use it on either ear. It is very very loud and clear WITHOUT the ear piece going into distortion while the other person is talking on the other end of the conversation. They can talk low or sing very loud and (like it or not) you will hear them very clearly.
What do I not like about this product:
1) It has a cord that gets in the way at times. It can get snagged on the corner of your chair and put it's way out of the phone. It can get in the way if you are putting on your shirt/jacket. 2) Too many pulls or dangling the by the cord can (WILL) short out the headset. Think about it. The cable is skinny/cheap. If you keep "Yanking" it out of the phone or if the phone falls off of your "waist/belt", it will dangle and "tug" at the ear piece causing the wires inside of the black sheathing (black coating protecting the wire) to break/tear/short. Like most headsets, there's no fixing this so just salvage what you can(ear piece cushion, head band, microphone windscreen, lapel clip) and put those items in a box so that if and when something on your next headset breaks, you already have some replacement parts.
3) That brings me to my last complaint. It's made of light weight plastic so it's NOT made to last forever. NONE OF THE HEADSET SIMILAR TO THIS ONE ARE MADE TO LAST.
I have tried other headsets and the 4 that I like AND WORK best for me are This One, Plantronics, Uniden and Panasonic. I have several

I don't know why Home Depot discontinued these gloves. Buy as many as you can afford if you like these gloves.
I really like these gloves. I use them as weight lifting gym gloves. They cost about the same as actual gym gloves but IMO the protection in the palms and elastic build is equal to or dare I say superior to Big 5 or other sporting good stores that sells weight lifting gloves. I have a pair in my "drill" bag too when I know that I am going to be using my makita drill for extended amounts of time on a project.
I am so sick and tired of store discontinuing products that "Actually Works" and does what it says. This is a Home Depot item and they have discontinued selling this model of Husky Gloves. If you like these gloves, you better do as I did and buy as many as you think you will need over the next 10plus years. Once they are gone off of the internet, they are gone. Maybe H.D. will bring them back but don't hold your breathe for that.

I am on my 3rd set of gloves now. I've been using these gloves for at least 5 years or longer. Now that it has gotten harder to find these gloves , I will be using my work gloves strictly for work and my workout gloves for the gym. It's the constant grabbing of the metal bench press and metal barbell curl bar that chews up my gloves the most but in all fairness, "These Are Not Weight Lifting Gloves" but I love these gloves anyway.
