Really can't say what is going on
Hooked it up as pictured without any external components except for a power supply. Frequency was all over the place, and waveform shape was all over the place as well. Adjusting both variable resistors did little to affect the device. See pics for more details. I was hoping to use this for 55 kHz output, but I cannot.

the remote worked fine. I was able to code it using VCDS/rosstech for my 2005 passat tdi. Others: if you cannot connect to convenience module 46, check the ground connection of the module to the chassis of the car (under carpet just in front of driver seat.
