Useless battery life

I bought these batteries to use in a Christmas decoration, set on a 4 hour timer. With Duracell industrial cheap batteries I used before, 1 set last from early December to 6 January and were still going strong. These 2 sets in 1 week can’t be bothered to replace again. Absolutely pathetic.
