Steel on my chest is lighter than lead inside it.
6 of 6 found this helpful I have unlimited pros but here's the "cons":
The curve is less than expected, but realistic for your chest, unless you're one of those weird people with cylinders for torsos
The weight is what I would expect for the best laser cut pair of base coated plates under $100.
Get some trauma pads or foam "dummy plates" for comfort against blunt force.
Work out. Wear them as often as possible. Get in shape. If you can't wear 16 pounds, you're either 16 pounds too weak or 16 pounds overweight. Eventually it will feel like part of your body and when you take it off you'll jump and smell the ceiling.
Armor is my new hobby. Also bought some Kevlar for my non dominant arm, and Kevlar feels like paper compared to rifle level steel.
