Great alternative to the norm.
I always been a Zildjian player. I have a set of A's, K's, and a set of A. Customs, so I was looking for something new, out of the box. I found it with the Meinl Classic Darks, they are 180 degrees form my normal sound. I have this complete set of Classic Darks 14HH, 10,12,Splash, 16,18,19 crash, 20 Ride. So I added the 14 Trash Crash. I love them, they are loud, in your face cymbals, no disappointments in my book. I will add that of all the cymbals in my Classic Dark set, the one I question is the 16 crash, it's just a tad to heavy for a 16" for me.

Serves the purpose
Im playing in a classic rock band where everything is mic'd when we play out. So the Hydraulic heads work perfect for this. Being a bar band without a sound man, the Hydraulic heads give the perfect amount to gate to the overall mix of the drums. I usually playing Evans EC2 heads, but for this purpose the Hydraulic heads work better.

Ludwig snare wires
I needed Ludwig snare wires specifically to restore a Ludwig snare. They have the Ludwig logo stamped into the end plates and I wanted to keep it close to original as possible. Out side of that these are just standard snappy snare wires, but they sound good. No complaints there.
