It didn't seem to make a lot of difference.
This part, I think, was meant to slow the fall of the glove compartment door when opened. It's sort of a counter balance or shock absorber, or so it seems.
I would imagine it would be fine with an empty glove compartment.
In the real world, people put many things besides maps and napkins in their glove boxes. I bought this Tacoma used and this part was discovered as gone when I went to change the cabin filter. I replaced the filter and ordered this door stopper, as it's called here and installed it.
This is when I realized that it was probably a waste of money,as it doesn't seem to stop the door from flying open any faster than before I installed it.
My guess is that no more money than necessary was spent to manufacture this item.

This is the exemplum of efficacy and yet it is simple and non-poisonous.
It does quite well this time of year. Take the cap that has the thumbtack stuck through it off, throw it away, microwave the cylinder for 5 to 8 seconds, and the ribbon reels out nicely for quick readiness.

A very nice AM/FM receiver headset at a decent price.
I've had many of these, but alas I either break them or they wear out. This is exactly what I wanted, and it's exactly what was sent to me.
