Long lasting
I operate a Motorola XTS 3000 which is known for eating batteries, so I wanted a battery that I could charge with Motorola's Impres Charger. If you want to have a battery last you a long time purchase only the Impress batteries. I found that after market batteries just don't last. With in a year of purchasing a new after market battery it would just peter out to no charge holding ability. But the Impress battery system is very impressive, I've talked to forestry workers who have been using the Impress system and they were getting years of use out of the batteries. But the key to this is having an Impress charger to work with the Impress batteries. If you depend on your Motorola portable for your job then buy the OEM Impress batteries and charger.

IFR-1500 is a great value
IFR-1500 is one of the older units but are still very reliable for a cost savings of pennies on the dollar. I purchased my IFR-1500 as I'm an amateur radio operator and I do a lot of amateur radio repair work. So for me it is a huge savings. If you can find a unit that has been calibrated recently and in good condition buy it.

Great radio for DMR and analog commercial and amateur
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought this radio to use on the amateur radio DMR system as well as analog. MotoTRBO XPR radios are the professional series digital/analog radios and I've got five of them including portables VHF and UHF. And I even have a XPR8300 repeater. If you want the best in DMR then you want a MotoTRBO.
