Best lubricant for small electric motor bushings and bearings
The best lubricant for small electric motor bushings and bearings - it just is. Temperature makes it less viscous and keeps performance proportional.

This is exactly what I'm looking for in headshell wires. The right lenght, flexible as opposed to too rigid, good quality copper wires + good grasp.
Too many so called audiophiles attribute overly evaluated importance to the 1.5" of headshell wires. Silver, or silver plated copper wires, pure to the sixth decimal point of the 99th percent they demand. It's a highly debatable and argumentative domain and I won't get into it, but for what's it's worth, I could never notice an electric conductivity difference if those 1.5" of short wiring was made of rusting nails.
For all I care, these small thin wires should be flexible enough as to not conduct and transfer any unwanted vibrations from the stylus through the cart to the headshell and tonearm and these plain wires don't. They are just the right rigidity. Easy to bend or shape to a semi circle and comfortably store in the back of the headshell.
Another property I would care for in headshell wires is the termination of the connectors. I would not want them to be too long and too wide and I want them snug on the cart pins. These wires have it all. The terminals are just the right size and are, as a bonus, shielded in color coded heat shrink. The shield covers the full length of the wire and helps preserve the copper such that it's oxidation is slowed down or totally eliminated. Perfect!
Finally, I could not measure the resistance of these 1.5" wires. My meter is not accurate enough for this. I get 0.1Ω and then my meter switches to 0Ω which pretty much tells me these wires resistance is too low to measure with my meter. This is, by the way, just the amount of resistance I like in headshell wires.
So I tried once, then bought another pair and now, I gradually replace all my headshell wirings with these. A great purchase in my opinion.
Thanks for reading.

This stuff works!
Purchased for my TD-135, these immediately struck me as high quality, well designed mushroom grommets that will do the dampening job. They fit right into the plinth mounts, as if they were designed by Thorens themselves, and have that look and feel of the good stuff - not just industrial molded rubber. When you compress them in your hand, you can feel the compliance and you know, right away, that's it!. I was not disappointed. My TD-135 responds very well to the simple "tap plinth then deck test" and it is obvious these mushrooms really do their job. Highly recommended!
