Good pendant
I knew going in the necklace chain on these are as cheap as they come. However the pendant part is wonderful and worth the money. I can not make them myself this good or as cost effective. Will buy again.

Instant Pot
1 of 1 found this helpful We own two instant pots because I sometimes cook for a large group and because I often make two items at once that I don't want to cook together, or I can't cook together. Many people will stack items in the pot to cook more than one item during a single run. However, if you have a large family like we do, this will not work because you will need more volume. We are a family of 6.
There is a lot of support groups for the instant pot on fb. These groups offer trouble shooting advice as well as a plefora of recipes. There are also a nice selection of recipe books for cooking with the instant pot. I have purchased almost all of them as well as some general electric pressure cooker books. Your best bet is to read reviews for each book before purchasing. There are thousands of Youtube videos on how to cook with the Instant Pot. My favorites are one from a lady name Jill who only cooks vegan and is oil free cooking. I have been watching her Instant Pot Youtube for about two years because she is funny. She has a cookbook that just came out this year. The other one is a truck driver who cooks meals in the back of his semi truck while traveling the USA. There is a lot of people who hopped on that wagon such as RV travelers who post cooking in their RV. Many of these people are using the Instant Pot as their only source for cooking. That is pretty amazing.
There are other pressure cookers with the same functions as the Instant Pot. This brand, Instant Pot, has been around longer and has worked out a lot of kinks.
Rice: I own one of the most expensive models of Japanese rice cookers. This makes rice almost as well.
Slow cooking: One of the things I like about the Instant Pot over my slow cooker is that the lid shuts tightly and insulated compared to my generic slow cooker. I feel like it distributes the temperature more evenly at the top and lets out less heat.
Cheese Cake: The instant Pot makes cheese cake and custards almost idiot proof. There is about one to two post a day that shows up in my news feed over someone excited about a) how easy a cheese cake is to make, b) how great they taste. There is a lot of different flavors you can make.
Yogurt: Along with making out of this world easy yogurt, it is delicious and more healthy than store purchased product.
Beans: It is wonderful to have two choices in how to make your beans. You can use the slow cook or the pressure method. I tend to use the pressure method whenever possible because it retains more nutrition. I can also set the timer for delayed cooking.
Porridge: Our family loves steel cut oats in the morning. I put it in the Instant Pot, set the timer to start before we awaken and poof, breakfast is ready. If we sleep in, that is ok. The Instant Pot will automatically go into keep warm mode.
Steam: In the south we love our steamed corn and it can be made with perfection in the Instant Pot. My children love steamed veggies, so this is a great way to cook in bulk for our family.
Meat: Chicken can be cooked quickly either defrosted or frozen solid. Yep, you read that right. You can put a frozen chicken in the pot and it come out perfect. One of the things that new user find is how easy it is to make chicken broth and use it in other recipes from the chicken they made. From there they tend to move to making bone broth (which means they cook the chicken bone to leach the bones of its nutrients. It is just a more nutrient rich broth. In a lot of recipes, people will use this broth instead of water to add flavor and nutrition.
Soup: I have never been one to "look smart in the kitchen". This soup button has been a game changer for me in this regard. I am making soup better than I can buy at a restaurant. I make soup in bulk and freeze it. When someone visits during the fall or winter, I like to send them home with a little soup gift. I also give soup away as a gift for the holidays.
Sauté: I love to brown my meat with this feature and then cook under pressure, all without having to clean an extra pan. But also super handy is to caramelize my onions. There is little less scrumptious than caramelized onion. I love it my soups, on the side, and any place you can think of to add an onion. I also have found that I love the tall sides so oil does not splatter on me. You did read that part where I said saute and then cook all in the same pot without having to clean a second pot?
