CDN TM8 Digital Cooking Timer & Clock Kitchen Timer
    Feb 26, 2020
Great clock/timer but very short life span.
This is a very nice timer/clock. I got it for the functions: count down, count up and a clock. The controls are easy to use and the size is right. The readout is clear. I bought four of them for use around the house, not just the kitchen. The problem is that they broke. One after the other, they stopped working. A short fall from a stool to the floor knocked the alarm out of one of them. Two of them simply lost their readout for some mysterious reason. One is left and I am treating it like I would carry an infant --- CAREFULLY. One breaking? okay, so one came off the assembly line with a glitch. But THREE out of four? I've had these timers in the past and they were reliable, lasted for years. Was the company bought out? Did they fire their quality control department? Whatever the problem, the design is good, but the price pretty stiff for a timer that breaks a week after starting to use it.
Black Flexible 9 LED Clip-On Orchestra Music Stand LED W/ Adapter Lamp Light
    Nov 29, 2017
Not as good as it looks
I needed a good music stand light as my practice room is dark. While this clever gadget works, it doesn't work as described. The first thing I noticed is that the construction is very flimsy. It feels like cheap hollow plastic that one should be careful handling. The cord is not long enough to reach an extension lying on the floor, so I had to rest it on a nearby table to connect to an extension cord that connects to the wall socket. Inconvenient to say the least. If you're not near a desk or chair or table, you're going to have the cord dangling in mid air weighing down the already light weight lamp. The light itself is not as bright as one would expect 9 LEDs to be, so it isn't quite sufficient by itself to light the music well. This is not to say that it doesn't work. It does. But it was a disappointment. Then again, it was inexpensive, and in keeping with the price, I probably should have expected less than a sturdy shining solution to my problems. With the above caveats, the light does improve the situation; it does have two settings of brightness; when you plug it in it works. Considering the price and understanding its limitations, I would endorse purchasing the lamp if it will work in your situation.
