2L LITRE STAINLESS ULTRASONIC CLEANER ULTRA SONIC BATH CLEANING TANK WITH TIMER
    Feb 20, 2019
It works fine, but be carful with what size you order and receive
It seems line a nice quality product. It came with a proper UK mains lead, and because the entire unit is metal I performed a PAT test on it and the cable, and everything passed with flying colours. It heats the liquid fine (a little slow but it's ok), and it seems quite powerful. I tried using it to clean my glasses with a bit of soap in water and it did an ok job. All in all, nice and compact. However, I ordered the 2L version and what I got certainly doesn't hold 2L of liquid. It holds 1.5L to the brim so I think it's actually a 1.3L model so all of a sudden it's not as good a value as you'd hope.
Sealey SDL7 4V Li-ion Rechargeable Soldering Iron Solder Cordless 8W Garage

    Works really well.
I initially wanted this to solder assembled cable harnesses in place behind control panels and I wasn't expecting that much and was a bit concerned with the 8 watts heat limitation. I ended up being really surprised. When it arrived I plugged it in to charge using the supplied USB cable and PSU. After a couple of hours the little red LED turned green indicating that it was fully charged. Exactly as it states, it heats up in around 20 seconds and the power LED turns green when it's at the correct temp (it's actually usable before this point). It's light, comfy and I found I could get it into some fairly tight places. The actual soldering tip contains the heater element so it holds quite a lot of heat when hot so it doesn't really struggle too much with some slightly larger joints (soldering wires to ground planes on PCBs etc). This isn't going to be suitable for soldering large bucket type crimps or other larger metal items, but standard hook-up wire to switches and slightly larger joints are fine. If I had two suggestions for improvement, one would be to provide a case or at least some type of cap/cover to help protect the tip (not sure how it would survive being thrown and bounced around in a full tool box), and it has two small white LEDs that aren't bad but there is a hole where it looks like they could have mounted a 3rd LED and that would have made it brighter. As for the lack of case/cap, that's what 3D printers are for. The soldering tip is surprisingly nice too and replacements are available. I probably wouldn't want to sit there assembling PCBs and harnesses all day with it, but for quick jobs in awkward places it's brilliant. Also for the hackers out there, the leaflet manual contains a breakdown of the parts and the thing can be completely dismantled.

UGREEN 3 Port HDMI Switch, HDMI Input Cable Switch Box Support 4K 3D 1080P with

    Nice, compact and also smart.
I only wanted a 2-way HDMI switch but they seem hard to find so I picked this 3-way one, mainly on price and speed of delivery. I don't use the infra-red option. It's used to share a single monitor between two computers and works great. What's a really nice surprise is when you press the button on the top, it switches to the next "active" channel. It knows channel 3 isn't being used, so just skips to the next channel. This means with two computers, you only press the button once to switch between them. It's a bit of a shame that it doesn't have some type of indicator to say what channel it's using, but it's no real inconvenience. It's also self powering itself from the HDMI sockets so I didn't need to supply it with external power. I'm using it at 1920x1080 resolution and the display is rock solid and doesn't seem to pick up any electrical noise unlike some. All in all, I really like this and I'm going to buy another one next month for a spare.
