Moultrie M-50i Invisible Infrared 20MP Game Camera, Model MCG-13270
    Aug 13, 2019
Watching and waiting when I can't be there
I have about 140 game cameras out in Minnesota and Florida, mostly Moultries. The M-50 models have proven to be reliable cameras. This is a better record than Moulrie's M-40s, which were almost experimental and not ready for deployment. But they got the bugs worked out in the M-50s. I put them on trails to capture photos in Florida of panthers, deer, bears, bobcats, coyotes, feral hogs, otters, sandhills, turkeys, skunk apes, and a few alligators. In Minnesota my cameras track deer, bears, turkeys, wolves, coyotes, red and gray fox, ruffed grouse, and much more. Game cameras generally and the M-50s in particular provide otherwise unobserveable insight into how wildlife lives day and night. These cameras also have obvious security applications as well.
NEW MOULTRIE 14 MP DIGITAL GAME CAMERA M-888i HD VIDEO INVISIBLE NO GLOW IR

Tracking wolves, panthers and other wildlife
I use the Moultrie M-888i game camera to track panthers in Florida and wolves in Minnesota--and everything else that walks past a game camera attached to a tree on trails out in the woods. It takes good pictures and can take video with a variety of settings: single photos, 3 triggered, etc. The infrared flash is invisible and does not sppok animals at night. The photos are of good quality at 4MP, and higher quality at 14MP. My cameras in Florida also see deer, bears, turkeys, alligators, sandhill cranes, coyotes, bobcats, armadillos, raccoons, possums, wild hogs, gopher tortoises, otters and occasional skunk apes. My cameras in Minnesota see gray wolves, coyotes, red and gray foxes, weasels, mink, otters, fishers, deer, bears, porcupines, beavers, owls, bald eagles, hawks, raccoons, skunks, pheasants, owls, ducks, and much more (too cold for skunk apes in Minnesota).

    Dog tags for game cameras
I use dog tags to mark and identify my game cameras on public lands where others may find them. These cameras are set out for watching wildlife and I share my photos with anyone who asks to see them. My dog tags provide name and email and phone numbers for this purpose. Because of weather conditions, the stainless steel tags work best.
