Original transistors used 45 years ago are still available sometimes
Working on a 45 year-old stereo amplifier it is very common to find transistors are no longer available. It makes sense to discontinue making parts that are not selling well anymore or have been replaced by newer or more robust parts. At this age even substitute transistors are also no longer available. These original parts are a welcomed sight and I consider myself lucky to be able to find them.
It's important to me to be able to keep these fine old examples of high quality stereo equipment operating. What you can go out and buy today is complete and total junk compared to late 70's stereo equipment.

Not difficult to install
Injector set for 1997 GM LT1 5.7L V8. Delivers a much smoother idle than the 24 year old set these replaced. I removed the four injector rail-to-intake mounting bolts, then relieved fuel pressure using the schrader valve near the fuel pressure regulator (under a screw-off black cap), then pulled up on each side of the fuel rails to free the old injectors and finally unplugged the electrical connector on each one and disconnected the vacuum line to the regulator. The whole assembly could then be freed so I could flip it over more toward the driver's side on a towel with injectors facing up.
These injectors have two different grooves for accepting two type of retainer clips. My LT1 needed the first groove for LT1 clips. Some other setup probably need to make use of the other groove with a different retainer clip orientation.
No problems so far but I recommend disconnecting the battery negative terminal for 10-15 minutes so the computer forgets the previous injectors and learns the new parameters (long and short term fuel trims).
