    Nostalgia...
If you're like me in your 30's then this a trip down memory lane, the music, Commander Adama and those shiny Cylons are what I used to love when I watched it as a kid. Set in the future (or past depending how you look at it) the tale basically tells us that the Cylons have tricked the 12 colonies into a massive defeat and only one Battlestar is left, the Galactica, this film shows the trek in perhaps finding a long lost planet named Earth. It's sheer entertainment, yeah sure the story is corny and so is the acting but the effects aren't too bad and it brought back the same enjoyment as when I was younger so in my view a damn good buy, so tempted to buy the series now (this is the film (pilot?). Not sure if it's like the new series as haven't seen them, but it has an innocence which I reckon the new series hasn't. All in all well worth a trip down memory lane, now where's that model kit of a Viper I've got somewhere?!

You know its a great tool when it does stuff that it's not advertised for, highly recommended
Great little tool and very cheap especially as I didn't use it for it's intended use, I haven't even used it for that yet! Used it for pushing out a stubborn exhaust pipe stud fitted to the catalyst so pretty tricky to get to. Worked an absolute treat and done it so easily at first I wasn't sure it was actually doing anything, on the screen it maybe didn't look that beefy but in my hand and using it there seems to loads of strength to it and has a nice chrome finish. Valued part of my toolbox now and one of the most pleasing purchases I have made recently when I compare to how much I paid against the amount of grief I have saved myself

Hours and hours to occupy you
All 7 series in a box set, ideal for cold winter afternoons watching late 60's/early 70's comedy at its best. Being born around the time these were shown I find its also a glimpse into ordinary Britain at this time, I discovered it is just as interesting looking at the backgrounds as it is funny watching Stan & Jack trying to get one up on Cyril (Blakey) and not always succeeding. These early series may well be "only" black and white but the atmosphere and the stories soon make you forget the lack of colour, besides it just adds to the charm :) For sheer value and laughs per buck I find it hard to beat, at the time of their height there wasn't much that was a more popular sight on TV, even today, 40 years on the episodes are still being repeated and that's the main reason why I bought the set. A thoroughly enjoyable purchase and one of my best buys to date I think.
