Wodehouse by Robt McCrum
So good to have this much information about the wonderful Wodehouse. McCrum gives a mostly balanced picture, and is especially good on the WWII years, when Wodehouse made unfortunate, poorly informed decisions that some people used to slander him unfairly. The book is a bit repetitious, and takes perhaps too much the side of the old public school chumminess that PGW can be faulted for. But it brilliantly shows him as a product of his time and place, and is very good on the novels and theatrical writing.

A wonderful movie, disturbing and hilarious at once. Brendan Gleeson is perfect, Colin Farrell disappears into a complicated role -- he just becomes the character completely. Bruges actually looks like a nice place to visit, despite it all. I loved the surreal "bosch" sequences at the end.

Fun to watch
Fun movie! An apology for Hollywood machine: we’re really nice, moral, hardworking people here! Entertaining.
