good battery and price
The battery arrived quickly and works perfectly. A bonus was an included instruction sheet on battery care that will probably extend the life of the battery if the instructions are followed.

good fire starter
1 of 1 found this helpful The starters word as they are supposed to. You can start a fire easily in nearly any condition. It does take a little work to get enough magnesium shavings to get the fire started. Make sure you remove the coating on the rod before you try to make sparks. Magnesium is hot and bright so be careful.

works great with super batteries
I bought two of these and they both work great with the supplied 3100 mAh Ni-MH batteries (which are much higher capacity than most) and some 1200 Ni-MH and 1000 NiCd batteries that I already had. The units charged them all very well although they seemed to get a little hotter than I am comfortable with. I suppose that is normal though. All in all, I am very satisfied with the purchase. The quality seems to be very good and the price is very good also.
