Remember to select the remote mode on the camera before using this
First I thought that the remote is DOA. Then I read the manual and discovered that I need to select the Remote Control mode on my Nikon 5100 using the Info button. The remote control works great.

Needs some filing but worth it
The servo horns do not fit the plastic pieces they connect to. They need to be cut and filed to the size. If you are using Arduino Servo library to control the servos change the default arguments in the 'attach' command to obtain a smooth 0-180 degree rotation range:
min = 600, max = 2550
Overall I am happy with this pan/tilt platform as this is a great value for a little money. Using it to remotely control a web camera.
