This scanner deserves a place in every emergency kit/pack.

Better than soft armor?
13 of 13 found this helpful I bought a Level II panel for testing and was highly impressed. Shot with a 9mm FMJ a 9mm+P HP, and a 45acp+P HP. There was some slight bulging in the back but no penetration. I think this would be better than soft armor because the plate stays rigid and distributes the force to a 10"x12" area of your body instead of a 3" diameter circle like soft armor (I tested a level II panel of soft armor too). I have since bought two of these fiberglass panels, one for a backpack and one for my briefcase. They are MUCH lighter than steel. However, the edges can be sharp. I used 2 layers of duct tape around the outside edges to prevent getting fiberglass in my skin.

Excellent Devotion Book
This is an excellent book for boys 7-14 y/o. I used it with my son and now we use it as the devotion in our weekly Cub Scout meetings and Boy Scout meetings. There are better books, but many go too deep. This one is perfect for a 3-4 minute devotion.
