i7 6700 can still get it done.
1 of 1 found this helpful The i7 6700 is still a very viable CPU, on par with/better than some later gen CPUs. Just be aware that anything that's Intel 7th gen or older won't take Windows 11. Otherwise, it is still pretty good for most things. It clocks pretty high on my system, about 3.9 a lot of the time. If you're stepping up within the 6th generation, be aware that this is an 8 thread CPU and draws more power than the 4 thread units.
