A good replica of a historically crap-tastic fighter
Bought this kit for a "Around the world in WW2 Aviation" project I'm working on (this P-26 will one day represent Jesus Villamour of the Phillipines). The pieces test-fit together well, and it has very good cockpit details. The only drawback I've found is something the kit probably couldn't help; it's the wings. The P-26's wings needed cable supports, but on a model this scale those wires would be difficult to mold without looking cheesy, which means you're either gonna have to buy them from a specialist or make yourself (by melting spare plastic sprue over a candle and stretching the softened plastic into thin strands. Takes practice, but worth doing.) Overall, this is a really good kit! I'd recommend it to a friend!
Also, I want it on record that the seller was more polite and better at keeping me updated about shipping than most of the vendors I've dealt with.

Not worth the effort to fix
The seller did everything right, which is the only reason I didn't ask for a refund 'cause this kit is a problem-child! LOTS of thick flashing I'll have to cut away (hopefully without damaging the actual part), the top/bottom half of the mold seems to have been bumped before the plastic cured leading to some gnarly shearing to some of the parts (especially the wheels, which is kind of a big deal), huge ejector punch marks (including a gnarly one right in the pilot's chest), parts had fallen off of the sprue before it even left the box (see first photo: I didn't detach those parts beforehand, they were loose when I got the kit), the list goes on.
I tried to fix this kit pretty much for a challenge, then decided it wasn't worth the effort. Only then did I have the presence of mind to take pics. It was actually much worse than my photos show. Unless you're a masochist and you REALLY want to raise a kit from the dead for the challenge of it, don't waste your time.

Going seriously "BOOM" in 1:48 scale
Bought this kit for a kit-bash project, turning an F-16D into "Iron Eagle." This kit had bombs from the 80's and 90s that I'd never even heard of!
