OPEN BOX PURCHASE: Better than expected, but not without its problems...
I am a wheelchair-bound amputee who has recently gotten into kayaking, but after purchasing a traditional sit-on kayak to go out with friends I realized I would never be able to go kayaking solo-style, due to that yak's 12' length and weight of around 85 pounds.
So, with no other options for solo-day trips and wanting to be more active, I decided to buy a second inflatable kayak that I could take out on my own, without any assistance.
After much research, I decided the Intex Excursion Pro was the perfect 'yak in my price range and ended up purchasing an open box from Ebay/Spreetail.
While I understood my buy was of an open box return and did not expect the kayak to be perfect, I was disappointed to find that the bottom/floor inflation section along with one of the two inflatable seats would not hold air for more than an hour.
I am sure it is going to be an easy fix and since everything else was in perfect, new/unused condition, so I won't be trying to exchange it; but I still have not gotten a chance to truly enjoy that kayak, until I can make the needed repairs.
