Low cost way to increase safety.
I put this product on wood steps that became slippery. Its self adhesive. In this regard the backing peals off without to much difficulty. You can cut the tape with ordinary scissors. The product's stickiness is pretty good. As I was putting the tape on wood steps I did not sand or prepare the product surprisingly adhered to most of the surface area (After putting the tape on the steps I walked on it to compress it). To be extra safe as to the tapes adhesion I did put half a dozen tacking nails to the edges of each step, but I would not say that it was absolutely necessary. Its been down on the steps now for several days and I'm happy with it as for sure the steps are now slip and skid proof.

This is the version you want and its the easiest to use.
Its hard cover which is a big plus. When looking something up the related references are vertical vs. horizontal which makes a big difference as its easier to use.

This is a must read book for anyone dealing with addiction or codependency of any type.
This book will give you the best understanding of how the behaviors in a dysfunctional family are passed from one person to another. You'll understand how and why the dysfunctional family unit, if broken up, will reform itself where an addict will unconsciously find another codependent, where a codependent will unconsciously find another addict. Awareness is the beginning of change. This book will get you there like no other. Also see Bradshaw's video of the same title if you can. These materials are available at most all public libraries. Action empowers and this book is a great starting point.
