So you think you know the 20's?
My disclaimer up front is that I Love old music. However, if you think 20's music is all Charleston (and it's in here) or Black Bottom then try just this one year from Living Era. This was the year that Gershwin wrote "Rhapsody in Blue" (also here) along with two timeless performers; Al Jolson and Eddie Cantor, also included in this compilation. Marion Harris will entertain you with "How come you do me like you do" and Wendell Hart sings the famous "It ain't gonna Rain no 'Mo". Many more styles are represented here in 23 songs that you may yourself playing over again. Enjoy!

Steel-guitar playin',Blues Yodelin' Country Boy!
If your interest in music stops at Rock, Rap or even the Big Bands, it's a shame you have to miss someone as legendary as Cliff Carlisle! He runs a gamut from the suggestive "Mouse's ear Blues" to old-fashioned religious songs like "When its' round-up Time in Heaven" you'll hear some great old tunes that just may not sound so out-of-date if you'll open your mind. My personel favorite is "Wild Cat Woman and Tom Cat Man". I can't say it would be a pleasure to hear all 84 songs at once, but if you mix him in your player of choice, you'll certainly get people's attention. Country fans will surely enjoy. It's just a shame that Cliff's name is not better known.
Now for the disclaimer: I happen to Love old music of any kind, but this album would be unique if you haven't country of this genre.

Early animation at its best. Enjoy the dinosaurs!
Before CGI and computer animation there was Ray Harryhausen and the claymation movies. They weren't as detailed as movies now but certainly had great action. Valley of Gwangi provides a 1969 view of dinosaurs in action (in the old West, no less!) that helped bring the Jurassic Park series to life. Worth watching!
