It's small and has a replaceable nicad

side brushes are helpful
I paid 50 for a competitor and ir gets jammed periodically. this one moves nice and brushes prevent it from jamming against the edge of the pool

Works OK
It does fire my "high end" Minolta 4000af flash. I believe it will do the same for the 1800,2000,2400 and 3000af units. It doesn't work as precisely as a new "high end" flash made for Alpha cameras (I haven't figured out if can adjust for distance or duration, by some means). I need to get used to it a bit more .....So it can do what it says it can do...it will give some more life to your older flash at the best price I have found... it believe it will be very good for flash units that just need the flash to fire on time
