Compact and sturdy with good durability.
It's a good stand. From experience in the classroom though, the "cup" where it supports the bell of a bass clarinet or boot from the bassoon tends to wear out fast and tear, hence why I was hesitant to get one. There are other bassoon stands out like the Bocal Majority travel stand or the stage line brand, but they tend to be way more expensive, at least for what I will use it for. This stand however become the standard at the moment. In the end, it's like anything. If you take care of it, It will last a long time. I like it and recommend it.
