AJA Kona 102035-03 LHe PCIe Video Capture Card

Out-dated Tech - DO NOT BUY

Yes. This is an HD card. Excellent, right? You would think so anyway. But, there's a problem... If you intend to use AJA's Machina software and this card solely as a recording device then perhaps this is a good card for you. However, there does not appear to be much software support for much else 'out there'. There are many, many programs for virtual switching which take all sorts of inputs - even webcams and analog TV capture cards (I've tested with them as sources and can testify to the fact). Unfortunately, the Kona LHe shows up in the list of available sources for some and not others; yet, does not function in either case. I even tried it in presentation software just to see if anything would happen. The USB webcam and ASUS TV capture card I mentioned earlier worked just fine - this card did not. Since, I have added a few Blackmagic Design decklink cards to the system in question; and to this point they appear to be compatible with all of the applications I've tried to use them with. This appears to be an issue with driver compatibility, as the AJA Machina software works just fine with the Kona LHe card. Indicating that the card itself does work; just not with very many options. One other note. It is my understanding that the card is supposed to handle internal keying. While there is an option for keying a graphic in the Machina application, it was non-functional (grayed-out).

Really great...will buy for life

My wife has curly, Hispanic, hair...for which, up to this point it has been difficult to find a product that works so well as this to keep the curls smooth and relatively frizz-free. It also has a really nice fragrance. The product works really well; had to order several because even the kids won't stop using it!
