Great photos
This is a small hardcover book- and I can't recommend the seller highly enough. Arrived quickly and all in great condition. This book is tailored more for a quick overview of herbs. If you're a beginner, this won't provide you with enough information. I purchased it because I liked the photos and snippets of information provided. Combined with other herbal/gardening books, it is a great read. If you want a brief overview, I recommend this book. One the huge benefits is the photographs. I'm not very familiar with them, so this helps me with identification.

Novel cover
The book arrived in great condition. The only thing (which may not matter to most people) is that the cover is not what was shown. I know it doesn't affect the story content, but I was hoping for the pretty cover that was shown. :(
So I decided to make my own book cover and it is pretty now!

Beautiful, elegant!
This book was my very first intro to potpourri making. I borrowed it from my local library and that is how I came to purchase it. Now, don't let the 1986 printing date scare you- the recipes are timeless. Even though some of the photos are definitely "dated" looking, I do think there is a sophistication and elegance to them. Barbara is a wonderful writer and has an ease about the topic. She has beautiful photos of gardens, including her own and the entire book is inspiring. You could make the recipes and tweak them in your own way. The possibilities are endless!
