As sharp and well-built as reviewers say it is. Only thing is no firmware update after years on the market.
As sharp and well-built as reviewers say it is. Typical recent Sigma quality, which is very high. And as a nod to EBAY/sellers, far cheaper than some big name camera e-retailers. For a Sigma lens, relatively compact; their best lenses tend to be very large/heavy, but this one is manageable.
Only downside is that this lens has been on the market for several years now, and no firmware update for Sony E-mount. Thankfully, then lens seems to work well/fine on version 1.0

XEEN CF 85mm - Sharp if you get a good copy, budget option but well-built
Sharp if you get a good copy (*Samyang/Rokinon lenses do not have the best QC, even their best ones like these XEEN's). Definite improvement over the original 2015 XEEN's, smaller and glow-in-the-dark paint like on more expensive cinema lenses. Feels solid in the hand like the original XEEN's, but even better with the new carbon fiber build. This 85mm is decent, but it's known that the original 135mm XEEN is the best of the series, but they only have these XEEN CF up to 85mm.
Obviously much cheaper than the fancy cinema lenses, but work well, these XEEN CF's. Often on sale, or sold for much cheaper (closer to the 2015 XEEN price) like on EBAY. If you're ok with the series range (16mm, 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm), they're one of the best budget cinema/manual focus lenses out there, and available for many camera mounts.
