Confidence and stability with Velbon

I actually found a Velbon VBG-32C at a thrift store in Gainesville, FL about a year ago. I was immediately impressed with its weight and stability and purchased it. I was so pleased with the tripod that when I saw this one at an affordable price I purchased it too. I have cameras, spotting scopes and astronomical binoculars. Rather than using a lightweight tripod that is more susceptible to tipping due to an occasional bump or air movement, I prefer weight and stability. When investing hundreds of dollars for equipment to capture a picture or a view, I am far more confident and secure with my Velbon tripod.

Satisfaction

This is an excellent product at a great value for the price. The motor charges the tanks up quickly and is ready to use within 2 minutes. The tanks, valves, gauges and attachment points are tight with no identifiable air loss after the unit has been turned off. The unit is sturdy and convenient to use with it's wheels and handle. It stands firmly on the floor and does not dance. The frame and mounting leaves you with a secure feeling. The only two objections I have are that the compressor is louder than my previous unit and the handle does not extend far enough up to reach my hand. I am 6' tall and have to slump over one shoulder to roll it along. I wish it had been higher when extended like a hand truck.
