Among the Best Crankbaits Available
Rapala DT lures have unique properties in terms of specific diving depths, action, and buoyancy that result in season to season effectivenes for catching largemouth bass. The bluegill color is outstanding where they are major forage for bass. The lure casts like a bullet and runs true right out of the box whether the retrieve is very slow or very fast. The hooks and hardware are high quality. This has been one of my go-to lures for many years.

Perhaps the best value for the money from Daiwa
I never dreamed that I would be able to cast crank baits so far with so little effort, and without backlashes at that. Daiwa's claims about the T-Wing system and SV spool are no mere marketing hype, as I feared they might be. This reel is smooth and well made. Though not as light weight as my Steez SV TW, I think the Tatula SV TW is a great value for the money at less than half the list price of the Steez.

Another Fish-Catching Shad Rap
The Shad Rap family of crank baits is an established large mouth bass catcher, especially in water from the mid 50s on down to the low 40s. The Scatter Rap Shad is no exception. When fishing open water where there is no cover or structure for the lure to tick off of, the scatter lip will impart the necessary erratic action that triggers bites from lethargic bass.
