Just buy it, its worth it!
I live in Minnesota, and have used this on the snugpack Jungle Hammock with my Northstar -15°F Sub Zero Bag (which the Northstar I wouldn't use in -15°F weather)
With all 3 used in 25°F temperature it was awesome! I didn't know how cold it was until I got out of the hammock the following day. I was completely unfazed by the elements. I'd highly recommend the Snugpack Cocoon to anyone into winter camping. And if I didn't make it clear I would use this in conjunction with another sleeping bag. I don't know how well it would work w/o it in below freezing temperatures, BUT I could use this in 40°F temps and up just fine! I actually bought the same set up for my wife!

Best craftsmanship, strong steel -you get what you paid for
I love Helko Work! Everything is made by someone, not a a machine at a stamping plant. This is one of those things where I typically buy cheap but when it comes to things that matter, and reliability I will pay a pretty penny to have something I know won't break down or stop working when I need it.
In other words -better steel, better craftsmanship, and way sharper than any other outdoor cutting or chopping tool I have ever owned right out of the box (my friend who is firefighter was very impressed and jealous by it). Now, if only Helko Werk began making knives too I would be set for life.
