Far from excellently refurbished, in fact the direct opposite

This device was listed as excellent refurbished. According to eBay's guidelines it should mean that it has no signs of use and would include all accessories. (Check eBay's refurbishment page for further clarity). This device however arrived with several chips, dents, and scratches all over it. It looks heavily used and as if it has been dropped several times. The rubber seal around the screen is coming off where there is a dent also (see attached images). The device came with no accessories either, not even a charger for you to be able to test the functionality or make use of the device. This device was bought as a gift with the belief that it would follow eBay's standards of being excellently refurbished and look new. Now it will just look like a cheap second hand gift. I will also need to spend additional money to buy a charger and wait for it to arrive in order to make sure it works properly before giving it away making me miss the deadline. Don't waste your money unless you don't mind having a macbook that looks battered without a charger.
