New use for old toy!
2 of 2 found this helpful I had been having a problem with squirrels eating all my expensive bird food. In a burst of inspiration, I fastened the slinky to the pole my bird feeders are mounted on - see photo for the finished product. It works - notice the bird in the feeder and the squirrel sitting forlornly at the base of the pole!

The squirrels hate it, the birds don't
This is not a cheap bird feeder, but it is very sturdy, well built, and does exactly what it is advertised to do. If youi don't mind spending the money, this is an excellent feeder.

Good as new!
Because it was "used," I was able to buy this genuine Canon product rather than a cheap knockoff. Bought new, I've seen these cables sell for $40; I paid about a quarter of that. Looks and functions like new!
