RIAA Phono Preamp,Record Player Turntable Amplifier Amp +3.5mm PC to RCA adapter
    Apr 18, 2019
Simple solution to play records on an amp with no input for "phono".
First I'm not an audiophile, but I do like good sound. Years back my records went into storage because my new amplifier was a home theater type with no input for phono. I recently decided to find a way to play records again and this unit was the answer. I use the input for a tape deck and it works just fine. There is no adjustment for the sound level on this mini amp but it seems to not need one. The volume level does not need significant or any adjustment when I move from playing CD's to a record. No hum, or distortion, at least none that I can hear or notice. It's just nice to be able to play my records again on a decent stereo. If you have spent a thousand dollars on your stereo this amp might not meet your standards, but I'd suggest you try it out and see. My guess is it would do the job.

    Linksys AC3200 Tri-Band Smart Wi-Fi Router - EA9200
    Aug 01, 2016
    So far - so good!
My old router was just a few years old, but it wasn't working well anymore. It was a Netgear N600 and I was losing connections frequently on several devices and it was taking a long time for Netflix to load programming. Then when watching Netflix it was "buffering" every 2 minutes so it was frustrating to stream TV. With 2 smart TV's, 1 smart DVD player, and several smart phones and tablets we might have as many as 10 wireless devices online at one time. I wanted a router that said it was made for lots of devices. This one makes that claim. It also seems to be designed to work well with smart TV's and those were my 2 biggest issues. I expected the setup process to be difficult. Whenever I get a new computer device I struggle with all the questions that I have no clue how to answer. Happily this set up procedure is actually easy. You follow the directions and start up the router and give it a few minutes to get updates. When the LINKSYS emblem on the front goes from blinking to a solid lite then the router is ready. You use the info in the packaging to connect to a computer. Then you rename the router and give it a password of your choice. A few easy to understand questions follow. Then you restart your computer and connect using the new router name and your new password. And that's it. All my devices established connections on the first try and there have been no dropped connections in 3 days of active use. The Netflix loads real fast and goes immediately into a HD picture. On a good day the old router would start in low def and move the HD after a few minutes. One smart TV is at the other end of the house and it shows a full 5 bars of signal strength. One device is in the basement and it gets 3 bars. I have't had to fool around with the antennas but so far I haven't found any dead spots. I used the WPS button on the router to establish the wireless connection to my HP printer. I have one very old laptop circa 2004 that I use for emails. This computer has the earliest version of wifi - "n", It also has very old security software that is out of date. I was able to get a wireless connection successfully using the "guest" network which is an unsecured connection and bypasses the old security software. This means you can use this router with very old computers. My nearest neighbor is 1/4 mile away, but if you live in a city or apartment you may want to secure the guest network. But I'm happy to have a connection on my old faithful computer. Now all this router has to do is last for 5 to 10 years and I'll be completely satisfied. I expect it has the capacity to meet my needs for a long time. So far so good.
