Way better that a plate. Everything is Heavy Duty
Depending on vehicle, may have to cut it up a bit. Says that somewhere in the description. I mounted on a Peterbilt and had to cut it up, make new holes, and change out 3 1/2 Inc spacer tubes for 3". But once I trimmed it out added lights and painted it up looks so nice.
