It is evident this seller cares about their buyers. Item was as described and at a fair price after I made an offer. Packaging was ABOVE AND BEYOND for a very delicate item. I’m sure it took a lot of time to package the way it was. Also threw in extra piece - which made it safely by the way :D very happy thanks a bunch.

Shaker 2 Bit Rail and Stile Router Bit Set - 1/2" Shank - Yonico 12249
Feb 11, 2018
Very impressed
I'm new to routing, and used this bit set yesterday to build my first practice shaker door. Being new, I had issues, but my issues came from being new I'm fairly sure. First, the bit that makes the cut for the rails and styles (not the mirror-image rail joiner bit) cut great - I had no issues with that bit. I used 3/4" birch with a Bosch 1617 table router, and made the cut easily in one pass. I ran my 2" wide styles and rails without a push block and it came out great. The bit that gave me grief was the mirror image bit - I got large ugly snipe on the tail edge of each rail that would have rendered them useless on a finished piece. Looking back, I do not think my fence was totally straight, which can lead to snipe. I did not use a steel ruler to align the fence with the roller bearings, I just eyed it and ran the wood. I also did not use any sacrificial leading and trailing wood pieces, which can cut down on snipe. I did use my miter and held the rail tight as it made the pass through the bit, but I think that left too much room for error. Today I'm going to try it again with a more supportive sled that I'll make. Overall, based on the quality of the cuts these bits made, I'd recommend them as they do seem worth it.
1/2" Height with 6 Bearings Rabbet Router Bit Set - 1/4" Shank - Yonico 14705q

Really nice bit
I'm new to routing, so keep that in mind as you read. I made my first practice shaker door yesterday with several Yonico bits, this one included. I was very impressed. 1/2 birch plywood easily passed with this bit (used in a Bosch 1617 table router). I made one pass, effortlessly, with a 3/8" deep by 1/4" tall rabbet cut - which was really easy thanks to the many bearings. The cut was very clean - some snipe did show up on the underside of the plywood, but I think that was due to the plywood's construction - the plywood had one side that reminded me of the material used to make Lauan, which snipes along the underside of a cut terribly. At any rate, the plywood sanded out beautifully and the door came out really nice - and square!
Only complaint is it's 1/4" shank - I wish it was 1/2" like my other Yonico bits - it makes for more work when changing bits. I'm sure they probably sell this same bit with a 1/2" shank.

Kreg PRS4200 1/4-Inch by 1-1/2-Inch Router Notching Bit

Takes practice, but looks really good
I used this bit today with 3/4" #1 pine, and again with 3/4" MDF on a Bosch router, along with the Kreg beaded cabinet bit. Today was just practice for making cabinets (I'm in between using poplar, or MDF, or a combo of both) as this summer I'm going to redo the entire kitchen. The MDF cut really easy, but left messy cut edges, which is to be expected with MDF. I would not use this bit with MDF as the material just does not hold up in the more delicate cut areas. Pine cut really, really well and if you go slow it made a nice clean sharp cut. I found I had to use practice pieces of wood a lot to make sure the bit was properly aligned (height wise). I wish they made this bit in 2 1/2" wide diameter. I guess I could buy the 2" bit, and just reduce the size of the stiles and rail face frame. Well, I recommend this bit, very well built, produces a nice cut that enables that professional beaded trim look.
