A MUST READ - for parents, relatives, friends, and professionals
As a mother with an 18-year-old son with non-verbal autism, this book really hit home. I read this book to him, and after each chapter I asked him if this is how he felt too. Most chapters were exactly the way he felt.
It has helped me to get to know my son better. Thank you.
I recommend this book to parents as well as relatives and friends who may not understand fully, what it is like to be stuck in a body that doesn't respond. People with autism are intelligent, regardless of the abilities of their bodies.
