This was one of two drives I purchased at the same time from different sellers. The packaging was decent. Extra bubble wrap. The box was still sealed.

This was one of two drives I purchased at the same time from different sellers. The packaging was decent. Extra bubble wrap. The box was still sealed. So is the inner bag on the drive. This drive is newer than the other one with similar specs. I haven't had a chance to test it yet. I'm hopeful that WD ironed out the detection issues earlier models had where windows couldn't see the drive on and off. It took a round about way to arrive but got here safely.

Decent drive for the money

HGST drives are some of the best if not the most reliable HDDs on the market. Unlike many other drives I have had in the past, this one looked brand new in a sealed bag. It was installed an in use in a few minutes. It took a little longer to copy all the files over but maybe 2 hours for 2TB.

Ok, these drives were a great value for the $$$

I'm building a dedicated DAW and needed some storage drives for it. I consider Seagate to be the most reliable for this. So these were a great solution for my needs. There's no bad sectors and they are very quiet for an HDD. And they show as an apple drive so that's actually not a bad thing since I plan on doing a triple boot Hackintosh/Linux/Windows. For my purposes these will provide plenty of storage.
