ACER 18.5 INCH LCD X183H Small, great for bedrooms, dorms Etc
I have two such monitors. One is used in the bedroom along with an HP Netbook. The other is used on my computer station with FreeNas as a black/white monitor for the NAS system. I will forewarn the reader that I am NOT a fussy/nit picky type and I am just thrilled to have them. Colors are excellent in my view and I will tell the reader these two monitors do not get a lot of use. My only real complaint is where the funky on/off switch was placed. Instead of a soft touch button placed on one of the lower corners the on/off switch is placed under the lower frame on the right side. Once you find the switch, it has a rather indifferent feel, giving the impression that it's broken. Both of these monitors exhibit this trait. When I bought my first X183H I actually thought it WAS broken. If you are looking for a small monitor for a den bedroom etc, give this monitor a look.

Acer P191W Widescreen 19" LCD Monitor DVI VGA
I purchased this unit used. I have two other monitors just like this one. The 'newest addition' has all the same features as it's cousins primarily a sharp clear display. I also like the size, 19". I use it in the kitchen to chat with friends or clients when eating meals or preparing meals. It sits nicely in a corner under the roll towel dispenser and against the side of the fridge. It doesn't take up much counter space at all. I am not a monitor techno geek and cannot give those technical details. I would encourage that you research this monitor elsewhere as I did before purchase.
If there are any cons with this monitor it HAS TO BE the on/off switch. All three of these monitors that I have exhibit the same trait. The switch is located on the right hand corner BEHIND the bezel. When you think you are turning on the switch, all you are doing is feeling your finger compress; the switch is still further back. More than a few times I've had to place a small mirror flat on the table and shine a flashlight on the mirror to find the ruddy switch.

16 Ga magnet wire
Guys, it's magnet wire! I made an inductive short wave antenna with it, relatively easy to work with, and solders WITHOUT having to remove the enamal - Works for me'
