It works for a mouse.
I purchased this 30 foot USB cable to connect a mouse to a security camera recorder.
It works.

A bag of parts
I was surprised when this item arrived. It is not as pictured. Instead it came as a bag full of parts that must be soldered to the circuit board. While I am capable of doing that, I was not expecting to do all of that work. The kit does not come with any directions. But they are available online if you search for "#226 MusicBoxKit". Use the quotes. Also more directions at the banggood website. The tan colored board that sticks up 90 degrees does not have pins that stick into the green circuit board. I used wires to connect the circuit traces of the two boards. Since I wanted to mount the circuit board inside of a project box with the switches protruding, I did not use the IC sockets. Instead I soldered the two ICs directly to the PC board. And I laid the tan colored board flat so that it does not stick up. I replaced the black speaker with an 8 ohm speaker and added an 82 ohm resistor in series with the speaker positive wire. The resistor reduced the volume and also reduced the total current draw from 150 milliamps to 30 milliamps. The circuit operates on 3 AA alkaline batteries. I ordered an 8 cell AA battery holder box to serve as a project box and to also hold the 3 batteries. The 4 switches will protrude through drilled holes in the project box. This is a do-it-yourself project, not a ready to use product. It does work fine and makes 16 different sounds. Kids will like playing with it.

Digital readout is very accurate. But the vial bubble is not.
The laser works.
The digital readout is exactly zero as it should be when the level is sitting on a level surface.
But the vial bubble is not centered.
