Caught criminals on video
My walls are made of plaster and lath in this 1958 house and the Wi-Fi is too weak to transmit consistently. I am able to get 90% operation with a 12" antenna and placing the receiver high on the wall. My situation is unique and I created a work-around but in a newer house it may work perfectly. It has been useful to the Sheriff Dept. in viewing some recent crime situations around my home. It lead to the capture of a group that was planting explosives in mailboxes! The captured video was clear enough for the Deputy to identify the perpetrators.

Tricky to wire up
You really have to follow your "Electron Current Flow" polarities when hooking up the ammeter portion. No diagrams were included with my order but the "DROKA" website showed several hookup examples, none of which I used as they didn't apply to my application. The unit is pretty sturdy and responds accurately to the input voltage parameters of a minimum of 3.5 VDC to begin measuring properly. I use my system to track solar panel outputs and it seems to track my portable meters. One thing that I can caution is that the unit seems to draw 13 milliamps to activate and light the LED displays. If you have to measure small currents you may want to opt for the External Power Supply option.

Tricky Programming
I have owned one of these for about 3 years and just did the first battery changeout. You MUST follow the instructions closely at programming or it gets "iffy". The 3 cats respond to my voice saying "Here Kitty, Kitty!" 3 times a day and saunter over for a dose of their "Gentle" food. I have them on a restricted diet so as to not allow them to get overweight again - and it seems to be working. Just watch the programming and it should work well for anyone. D J
