Gibraltar back support
Item is easy to install, and can be adjusted to fit most thrones. Very stable if you place one leg of the throne behind it. It does have an adjustment to slide the back support towards your spine or away from it (horizontally) as well as up or down (vertically.)
Due to its design, the backrest stays behind the throne which is useless unless you lean back. I really needed something that would be snug to my back while playing, as most drummers sit towards the end of their throne to have unencumbered leg movement.
It did not fit my Tama throne correctly, so be exact on your measurements. My throne is the 1984 round version with the brown leather covering. I believe that it would fit most of the more modern drum thrones.

What a difference!
I teach in an area that does not allow me the luxury of using my kit at full volume. I tried ALL of the cymbal mutes available, but the clunky sound was so unfulfilling for my personal practicing.
I didn't realize that my ear needed the decay, and these cymbals give me that without my upstairs neighbors even hearing them. (I am a heavy hitter.)
These are an impressive innovation, and had I known earlier that cymbals with "mutes" were so unfulfilling, I would have purchased these a long time ago. I easily spent more on trying to find a cymbal mute that satisfied me than on these cymbals.
I had previously purchased the 10"splash, which really impressed me, and I knew immediately that I had to have the hats and crash ride. I am happy to have found this demo pack, which is in impeccable condition.

Comfy Cheeks
This is the most comfortable and ergonomically correct throne that I have ever used. I love the recessed sit-bone grooves not only for comfortability but that they improved my posture from the second I sat down. Gives me great balance which allows for greater fluidity with pedal work. No need for a backrest with this bad boy!
