Dense, but Worthwhile
The concepts presented here can be difficult to implement. But by changing the trajectory of your life even a degree or two today makes sure that you end up in a more satisfying place next month and next year. You can skim over the history of the ancient Romans and not lose the lessons. Then read a chapter at a time and don't rush. It will be worth it.

Somehow, I found myself living in this very strange place called Florida, and I wanted to know how it became the place it is today. This book explains a lot.
