Ankle sleeve
I would call this an ankle snuggler sleeve at recommended size. Good to keep snug around ankle and keep swelling down.
To get one tight enough to give medium to heavy ankle roll over protection, you would probably need to go 2 sizes down from the recommended size, but then you will struggle getting it over you foot.
If you snapped or sprained your ankle, you will probably want the Don Joy Ankle POD brace, That what also have, serious ankle roll over protection with the pod and can be worn in any shoe

Great roll over protection
A++, I fell off a 30ft roof in hurricane and broke foot, ankle socket, ankle ball, shin bone. Was in cast for almost 6 months. So I have glass ankles.
The POD ankle brace gives some serious ankle roll over protection and its very comfortable. Hard part is getting the right size, depending on bone size.
I have size 12 foot but bought medium. it fits perfect.
