Two sticks for one
These 9.6V Makita form factor batteries are getting hard to find. I have several old drills that use them and the price has steadily risen on them. Because of the smaller capacity of the 9.6v batteries in general I keep two charged and one in the drill when doing a job. These non OEM packs seem to charge as well as the OEM versions and actually run longer than the three OEM Makita packs that I have, probably because they are new. I don't have to drive all over town trying to find new ones either. Great bang for the buck.

Back in Black
I ordered the black synthetic stock to match the black fore end stock that I ordered from Mossberg to match the pistol grip that came with the gun. Got that? After firing the gun with the pistol grip I decided that while it looked "tactical" (love that buzzword. You can sell anything if it is "tactical") it was no way to hunt rabbits. I decided that it wouldn't hurt to have two sets of "furniture " for the gun, the original wood and the synthetic black. I do use the gun for home defense with the 18.5" barrel and black stocks and will use it with the 28.5" barrel the next time we return to the fields of my in-law's farm dressed in the more traditional wood. The stock arrived before its estimated arrival date, included the bolt and washer to mount it and was less money than if I got it from Mossberg. All good.
