Great buy- order the plastic mesh!
2 of 2 found this helpful Used for school carnival. Bought the plastic netting to clip on sides. Had two other machines in use with bubble top. Folks operating machines with bubble top got covered in cotton candy. Not so with the plastic mesh. Just held the paper cone perpendicular to the spinning head and rolled the cone to make the cotton candy mass. Watch YouTube videos to get the hang of it. Make your own sugar floss. It's just granulated sugar, food coloring (you can reduce amount of dye to avoid yucky food coloring taste) and flavoring - vanilla extract, whatever extract you want. Lots cheaper than the pre-boxed and colored sugar. Skip the scoop and just pour in carefully.
