Beecham Conducts Handel

Handel's "The Gods Go A-Begging" is the highlight of this CD for me. This is beautiful music, and recordings of it are rare and hard to find. Unfortunately the quality of this recording is quite poor. I'm not sure if this came from an old 78 rpm or an LP but that's not really the problem. It sounds like the sound engineer decided he needed to help Sir Thomas Beecham with the dynamics of the piece by turning the gain up and down repeatedly. I gave the product an "average" rating because of the rarity of the music. Otherwise it would have been lower.
