Lightweight Barely know it's there
Purchased for a small LLLT system. I was very concerned about protecting my eyes while using the unit for cosmetic enhancement. From the very first use I was at home with the unit as it completely blocked out the super high intensity light from lasers. Even at outer edges of eyes and tear ducts one feels no irritation, etc.

Great "On-the-fly" Timer
24-hour timers are a bother. Countdown timers are simple and straightforward. not automatic in that they need to be re-set every time you use them but that is their beauty: on the fly. I'll give an idea of my application having purchased two:
Timer one is used when I am roasting a turkey, etc. and the like and I want to prepare, set the timer and then go to bed. (I use a free-standing roaster instead my oven, so there is no timer.) I have awakened to the wonderful aroma of a thoroughly roasted, but not dried out turkey. Excellent!
Timer two is used with my 500 watt stereo receiver. Before going to sleep, I play one side of an LP with soothing music. This puts me right out, but have periodically awakened after 8 hours to find that my watt-hog receiver had been on all night. Now I set the timer in the timer/on mode to timer, and a few minutes after my record has finished (and I am already fast asleep) the receiver shuts down.

Mozart/ Fischer...Get it if you can find it!
This Fischer Mozart compilation is awesome. Heard it on a classical music station in the bay area in the wee hours of the morning. The works are stunning. You can always tell when a work is good; just when you think it's over, another movement knocks you out. I believe this is out of print, so get one if you can find it!
