Sony Xperia Z Ultra in 2016
1 of 1 found this helpful The Sony Xperia Z was one of the first smartphones to sport a display size larger than 6-inches. Although it is getting a bit old compared with the latest phones it still has respectable performance compared with many large-screen offerings in early 2016. Particular strengths include the thin profile of the phone and high-density display. Downsides include a very poor battery capacity; large phones need a larger battery capable of keeping the phone charged for average multimedia use throughout the day. This phone will require a top-up during the day.

Arduino UNO compatible boards are a good value for little risk
As many know, Arduino developed the UNO and other boards under open source hardware licenses; as long as these "compatible" boards do not show the Arduino trademark, they are copies made in the spirit of the open platform but are often much much cheaper than the original hardware made by Arduino itself. All of the features and functionality of the Arduino UNO are usually present. I have not encountered any quality issues, but at such a low price it's worth the risk to try one of these out for your projects. My only criticism is that the labels for the PWM pins are sometimes missing, but referencing the many Arduino guides out there solves the problem. Given eBay's robust buyers protection, there is virtually no risk getting an Arduino Uno compatible board. If you like your compatible, throw the Arduino foundation a buck or two for their continued development efforts.
